SIRI TRAINING ADVANCES SMART MANUFACTURING IN BINH DUONG
On April 16, as part of the Binh Duong Manufacturing 2025 exhibition at WTC Expo, Dr. Le Ngoc Huan—Director of the Industry 4.0 Innovation Center—delivered a specialized training session on the Smart Industry Readiness Index (SIRI), drawing strong interest from manufacturing businesses across the region.
The session offered not only updated knowledge on digital transformation but also introduced participants to the internationally recognized SIRI assessment framework, developed by Singapore’s government in collaboration with leading organizations such as TÜV SÜD and INCIT. SIRI is designed to help manufacturers evaluate their Industry 4.0 readiness across technology, process, and organizational dimensions.
Dr. Huan emphasized the urgent need for digitization and automation in manufacturing to maintain competitiveness in the Industrial Revolution 4.0. He guided participants through the core components of the SIRI framework—including vertical and horizontal integration, cyber-physical systems, and key enabling technologies such as Industrial IoT, artificial intelligence, computer vision, digital twins, cloud computing, and big data analytics.
Participants were introduced to a structured evaluation process, enabling them to identify operational strengths and gaps, align digital strategies with business objectives, and prioritize implementation through the SIRI prioritization matrix. Dr. Huan’s team has already conducted assessments for nine companies with annual revenues ranging from USD 1 million to USD 150 million, with a goal to support over 15 companies in 2025.
The session also showcased real-life projects such as CNC machine digitization, real-time data monitoring, and smart building systems—demonstrating the tangible benefits of digital adoption in optimizing supply chains, improving product quality, reducing costs, and enhancing workplace safety.
This training program was a key highlight of the exhibition, reinforcing Binh Duong’s commitment to driving smart manufacturing and equipping local businesses with practical tools and knowledge to accelerate their Industry 4.0 journey.
