OPENING CEREMONY OF THE VIETNAM ADVERTISING FESTIVAL 2024
On the morning of July 11, the opening ceremony of the Vietnam Advertising Festival 2024 took place at the World Trade Center Expo (WTC Expo).
The event was attended by Ms. Trinh Thi Thuy, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; Mr. Huynh Vinh Ai, former Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism; Ms. Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People’s Council; Mr. Nguyen Truong Son, President of the Vietnam Advertising Association, along with over 600 delegates from various agencies, organizations, enterprises, and industry experts.
The Vietnam Advertising Festival 2024 (Vietnam AdFest) runs from July 11 to July 13, 2024, featuring 250 booths and nearly 500 brands from leading domestic and international companies in the advertising sector, including those from China, South Korea, India, UAE, Malaysia, Laos, and Thailand.
After 13 editions, Vietnam AdFest has proven its appeal as a specialized exhibition for advertising equipment and technology.
The Vietnam Advertising Festival 2024 includes a series of prominent activities, such as the Vietnam Advertising Exhibition 2024, showcasing a wide array of advanced and modern products and technologies serving the advertising industry.
Additionally, the festival offers various exciting activities, such as discussions and seminars on specialized and captivating topics related to exhibitions, media, advertising, led by top industry speakers; the “Vietnam – World Destination” art photo contest attracting over 3,000 works from more than 400 authors nationwide; the 2024 Job Fair with over 30 employers and 250 job-seeking candidates from universities, colleges, and vocational schools in Binh Duong province and nearby regions; the HAA Charity Run 2024 organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Advertising Association; and the 2024 HAA Expanded Sports Festival – Hoang Gia Phat Cup to celebrate the opening of Vietnam AdFest.
In her opening remarks, Ms. Trinh Thi Thuy, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, emphasized that the advertising industry has become one of the key service sectors, experiencing robust growth and making significant contributions to the country’s economic development and job creation. From 2018 to 2022, the value of Vietnam’s cultural industries was estimated at VND 1,059 trillion, with an average annual growth rate of nearly 7.2%.
With a diverse and rich array of professional activities, the Advertising Festival offers an opportunity to introduce and promote the potential, strengths, and importance of Vietnam’s advertising industry and the cultural industries to the international community.
The opening ceremony also featured the signing of Memorandums of Understanding for cooperation between the Vietnam Advertising Association and the Federation of Korean Advertising Associations; and between the Vietnam Advertising Association and the China Advertising Association, aimed at strengthening international cooperation and exchanging experiences among Vietnamese and international enterprises.
