JOB FAIR 2024 IS OFFICIALLY STARTED AT WTC EXPO
As part of the Vietnam Advertising Festival 2024, the Job Fair 2024 opened doors for recruiters and job seekers to meet, exchange information, and explore suitable job opportunities in advertising, communications, and cultural industries.
Ms. Huynh Dinh Thai Linh, President of the Binh Duong Logistics Association, highlighted that Binh Duong’s strategic location and advanced infrastructure have transformed it into a bustling commercial hub, attracting numerous international investors and businesses. The demand for labor, especially high-quality labor, is increasing. However, Ms. Linh pointed out that the current workforce in Binh Duong, particularly in advertising, events, and MICE tourism, lacks specialized training and expertise in these fields. Additionally, there are weaknesses in foreign language proficiency and global business engagement.
“The Job Fair, part of the Vietnam Advertising Festival 2024, has garnered interest from over 30 employers and more than 250 job seekers. Notably, many final-year students from universities, colleges, and vocational schools in Binh Duong and neighboring provinces participated,” Ms. Linh stated.
Mr. Pham Ngoc Cuong, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Advertising Association, emphasized that the event is not only a recruitment drive but also a crucial bridge connecting the workforce in the advertising sector. “The Job Fair 2024 plays a significant role in promoting the sustainable development of Vietnam’s advertising industry, ensuring that the workforce is continuously trained and updated with new knowledge,” Mr. Cuong remarked.
Mr. Le Hoai Nhat, Director of Kien Tre Construction and Advertising Company, mentioned that they often have to train new recruits. He hopes the event will provide opportunities to connect with potential talent, helping young people understand current labor market demands and equipping them with essential knowledge and soft skills to compete in the advertising industry.
Mr. Le Quang Loi, Principal of Binh Duong School of Fine Arts and Culture, stated that to improve the quality of human resource training and link theory with practice, the school has undertaken several important cooperation activities. They have signed training and labor supply agreements with the Ho Chi Minh City Advertising Association (HAA) and various enterprises, allowing students to visit and learn at HAA member businesses.
“Our school regularly organizes career counseling and orientation fairs to help students clearly define their career paths. These activities not only enhance training quality but also provide students with opportunities to get acquainted with real work environments, preparing them well for their future careers,” Mr. Loi explained.
Cao Thanh Truc, a second-year student in Business Administration at Saigon University, expressed great interest in the event. “Through meeting and exchanging with businesses, I can better prepare for my future, grasping the necessary skills and knowledge to develop a career in advertising,” she said.
