HCMC LEADERS VISIT BECAMEX GROUP: TOWARD SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT OF HO CHI MINH CITY
On the morning of October 12, a delegation of delegates attending the Ho Chi Minh City Party Congress visited and worked with Becamex Group at the Binh Duong Convention and Exhibition Center.
The delegation was led by Ms. Van Thi Bach Tuyet, Deputy Secretary of the HCMC Party Committee, and included Lieutenant General Mai Hoang, Director of HCMC Police Department; Major General Vo Van Dien, Commander of the HCMC Command; and Ms. Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of HCMC.

Welcoming the delegation, Mr. Nguyen Van Hung, Chairman of Becamex Group, expressed his honor and gratitude for the trust placed by the HCMC Party Committee in assigning the Becamex Group major projects that contribute to the city’s growth.
“We will continue to seek the best solutions and remain committed to contributing to HCMC’s overall development, particularly in key breakthrough areas defined by the Party Congress,” Mr. Hung affirmed.
He noted that after more than 40 years of establishment and growth in Binh Duong, Becamex has built a solid foundation for modern industry, closely connected with HCMC and the Southern Key Economic Region.
Through nearly four decades of strategic cooperation with Singapore, the Group has played an important role in developing next-generation industrial parks and promoting regional economic growth.

Deputy Secretary Van Thi Bach Tuyet acknowledged and highly appreciated Becamex’s contributions to both Binh Duong’s past success and HCMC’s current development.
“We firmly believe that Becamex Group will continue to be one of the city’s key enterprises, accompanying HCMC in its journey toward sustainable and inclusive growth,” Ms. Tuyet emphasized.
BECAMEX GROUP– A CORE DRIVER OF INDUSTRIAL AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT IN NORTHWEST HCMC
As one of Vietnam’s leading corporations in integrated industrial infrastructure development, Becamex Group has attracted more than 2,000 enterprises, created nearly one million jobs, and made significant contributions to the economic growth of southern Vietnam.
Becamex group currently manages and develops 21 industrial parks across 15 provinces and cities, covering a total area of over 33,000 hectares. These developments form an interconnected ecosystem combining industry, urban areas, and services, linking the Southeast and South Central regions.
The Group is also a pioneer in developing Eco-Industrial Parks (EIPs) in Vietnam, in collaboration with the World Bank under the EIP 2.0 initiative—the first model in the country to meet international standards, focusing on circular economy principles, carbon emission reduction, and renewable energy use.
To date, Becamex group has planted more than 2 million trees, helping reduce approximately 44,700 tons of CO₂ emissions annually, as part of its commitment to achieving net-zero emissions in the future.
BECAMEX’S FLAGSHIP INDUSTRIAL PARK CLUSTERS
Becamex has been developing a chain of strategic industrial parks in northwestern HCMC, including:
- My Phuoc 1 Industrial Park (400 ha, established 2002): the first integrated model combining industry, urban development, and services.
- My Phuoc 2 Industrial Park (800 ha, established 2005): 100% occupancy, home to major corporations such as Orion, Vinamilk, and hundreds of FDI enterprises.
- My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park (2,200 ha): one of Vietnam’s most advanced industrial zones, attracting high-tech, electronics, and precision engineering projects.
- Bau Bang Industrial and Urban Park (3,200 ha): a next-generation industrial–urban satellite hub for high value-added industries.
- Bau Bang Expansion Industrial Park (1,000 ha) and Cay Truong Industrial Park (700 ha): planned as eco-smart parks, fully integrated with modern urban areas in Binh Duong New City.
- In addition, Becamex is a founding partner of the Vietnam–Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) network, which includes VSIP 1, 2, and 3—a symbol of successful international cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore in sustainable industrial development.
Earlier, the HCMC Party Congress delegation also surveyed several Becamex and VSIP industrial parks and visited the Vinamilk factory located in My Phuoc 2 Industrial Park (Ben Cat City)—a strong testament to the growing connection between HCMC, Binh Duong, and the Southern Key Economic Region, paving the way for balanced, sustainable, and internationally integrated development.
