Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh emphasized that Binh Duong has long been recognized as one of the country’s leading provinces in terms of socio-economic development, especially in the industrial sector and foreign investment attraction. He affirmed that the groundbreaking event marked a significant milestone, not only in the province’s development strategy but also as a testament to Binh Duong’s and Becamex IDC’s forward-thinking vision. This shift toward developing smart, eco-friendly, and sustainable industrial zones represents a bold move away from traditional industrial models and positions Binh Duong as a pioneer in next-generation industrial development.
The Deputy Prime Minister commended Binh Duong and Becamex IDC for their courage and innovation in implementing modern industrial park models aimed at achieving net-zero carbon emissions. These parks integrate digital technology and prioritize high-tech, environmentally friendly industries. He highlighted this as a model worth replicating nationwide, contributing to Vietnam’s broader goals of green and sustainable economic development.
He also praised the strategic partnership between Becamex IDC and the Becamex VSIP-BVP power joint venture for their effective renewable energy solutions. This cooperation not only ensures stable and continuous power supply for investors but also reduces reliance on the national grid, directly supporting Vietnam’s climate commitments. It exemplifies how corporate alliances can generate sustainable energy solutions aligned with the global shift in supply chain dynamics.
Mr. Vo Van Minh – Chairman of the Binh Duong People’s Committee,
Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, Mr. Vo Van Minh, emphasized that the groundbreaking ceremony, coupled with the official handover of the Prime Minister’s Decision to establish the Binh Duong Concentrated Information Technology Park, marks a transformational turning point. Binh Duong is now advancing from its “Industry – Urban – Services” model toward a more advanced “Smart Industry – Urban – Services” development direction.
This transition elevates Binh Duong’s position within the global industrial value chain and aims to establish a new industrial ecosystem that complements the current one. The goal is to better meet the expectations of both local and international investors and workers in a time of deep and comprehensive global integration, as Vietnam steps confidently into a new era of development and national resurgence.
Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuan, CEO of Becamex IDC
Mr. Pham Ngoc Thuan, CEO of Becamex IDC, stated that both industrial zones were strategically planned near large-scale renewable energy projects to form a complete industrial-energy cluster. These developments are designed to meet net-zero emissions goals while also prioritizing social infrastructure such as housing for experts and workers, urban areas, and high-quality workforce training programs—ensuring both labor supply and a comfortable living environment for industrial workers.
During the ceremony, the Government officially presented the decision to establish the Binh Duong Concentrated Information Technology Park to the provincial authorities. In addition, Binh Duong granted investment licenses to several enterprises operating within the BWID factory complex.
