The exhibition focuses on three main product groups: Woodworking industrial machinery and equipment from leading countries; accessories, spare parts, and imported wood materials; and woodworking products from domestic and international enterprises.
At the Press Conference informing about the Exhibition taking place on the afternoon of July 05, Mr. Nguyen Liem – Chairman of Binh Duong Furniture Association said that BIFA WOOD VIET NAM 2024 is an outstanding event of the woodworking industry. This event helps Vietnamese and regional enterprises access advanced products and technology, promoting the use of automation equipment and supporting industries of the wood industry such as paint, glue, screws, packaging, logistics, etc.
The Exhibition not only helps enterprises enhance trade promotion and promote products, but is also an opportunity to exchange experiences, seize investment opportunities, expand markets, and joint ventures, and transfer technology to improve efficiency in production and business. This is also an opportunity for furniture manufacturers to enhance their visibility and brand in Viet Nam, the region, and the world.
According to the Organizing Committee, compared to previous years, this year’s Exhibition will bring new products with advanced technology and digital transformation applications that create high productivity. Communication work is promoted to attract and invite many wood enterprises to participate. The Organizing Committee also provides maximum service support to create the most favorable conditions and save costs for enterprises participating in exhibiting at the Exhibition.
Ms. Nguyen Thanh Ha – Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Binh Duong province expected that the BIFA WOOD VIET NAM 2024 will become a typical exhibition for Viet Nam’s wood industry; will be organized professionally, with the stature of an international exhibition in the wood industry, attracting most interior and exterior wood material enterprises in the world to participate, contributing to promoting the development of Binh Duong wood industry in particular and Viet Nam in general.
According to Mr. Do Xuan Lap – Chairman of Viet Nam Timber and Forest Product Association, in the context of the world economy still having many difficulties, Viet Nam’s wood industry has shown signs of recovery and rapid development.
Data from the General Department of Customs shows that in the first three months of 2024, Viet Nam’s export of wood and wood products reached 3.4 billion USD, up 19% over the same period in 2023. In particular, the export value of wood products reached 2.3 billion USD, up 22.9% over the same period last year. This shows that consumption demand in major markets such as the United States, China, Canada, the UK, and EU countries is recovering strongly, bringing optimism to Viet Nam’s export wood industry.
Binh Duong province’s woodworking industry alone is known as the “capital” of the country’s wood industry, contributing nearly 50% of Viet Nam’s wood export turnover and 19% of the province’s GRDP.
