In 2022, India and Vietnam are celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations, and this relationship will be upgraded to a comprehensive strategic partnership. Vietnam is India’s 15th largest trading partner, whereas for Vietnam, India is the 8th largest trading partner. Bilateral trade between Vietnam and India in 2021 surpassed 13 billion USD for the first time, up 36.5 percent compared to the previous year, and is expected to hit 15 billion USD in 2022.
