Chùa Tây tạng Bình Dương được sách Kỷ Lục Guiness Việt Nam chứng nhận là “ngôi chùa có tượng Bồ Đề Đạt Ma bằng tóc lớn nhất” Việt Nam. Được biết, ngôi chùa này bắt đầu được xây dựng lần đầu tiên vào năm 1928 và chỉ nhỏ bằng 1 cái am thờ.

Vào thời Lê Hiển Tông, Chùa Hội Khánh được khai sơn. Đến năm 1868 vào thời vua Tự Đức, chùa bị phá hủy nặng nề do chiến tranh, hòa thượng Thích Chánh Đắc cho xây dựng chùa mới. Chùa được trùng tu xây dựng và duy trì cho đến ngày nay tại số 35 Yersin, phường Phú Cường , TP Thủ Dầu Một.
Kiến trúc chùa được thiết kế gồm 4 phần: tiền điện, chánh điện, giảng đường có 92 cột gỗ quý. Cuối cùng là Đông lang và Tây lang bố trí theo kiểu “sắp đôi” nối liền nhau với kiến trúc “trùng thềm, trùng lương” – biến tấu đặc biệt trong kiến trúc theo truyền thống chùa cổ miền Nam.
