On September 18, at the Binh Duong Convention and Exhibition Center, Becamex IDC Corporation, the Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP), and the National University of Singapore (NUS) signed three important memorandums of understanding (MoUs), laying the foundation for a comprehensive strategic partnership in the near future.

During the ceremony, the parties discussed the terms of the strategic cooperation and signed MoUs to implement their plans in the coming period. This partnership is expected to make a significant impact on the development of science and technology, innovation, and key sectors vital to Vietnam’s growth, such as electronics, semiconductors, digital transformation, Industry 4.0, health sciences, information technology, and artificial intelligence (AI).

Research and development infrastructure is planned to be established in Binh Duong, fostering collaboration with top universities in Vietnam.

This collaboration will strongly support Binh Duong’s strategic goal of becoming a center for research, technological development, innovation, and high-quality human resource training. It will focus on developing a next-generation industrial ecosystem, including science and technology centers, business parks, IT hubs, logistics centers, and modern Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) urban areas.

At the event, Nguyen Loc Ha, Vice Chairman of the Binh Duong People’s Committee, emphasized the province’s growing importance in Vietnam’s high-tech future. He praised the contributions and long-term cooperation of Singaporean partners in Binh Duong’s development journey. The signing of these agreements highlights the major strategic direction of the Provincial Party Committee and the People’s Committee of Binh Duong, showcasing the united vision of both the government and businesses to achieve sustainable development and elevate Binh Duong’s economy to a higher position in the global value chain.

The partnership between Becamex IDC, VSIP, and NUS will help drive knowledge-based economic development in Binh Duong and promote sustainable growth, creating momentum for socio-economic progress, particularly in training high-quality human resources to meet the province’s future needs.
